THE POWER OF SUGGESTION
Giri at 4pm on 27/Feb/2011
A zillion thoughts giving rise to several billion words have destined the outcomes from millions of deeds that human beings have toiled over the millennia, to evolve into the most innovative of life on this planet. Much of this “thought-word-deed” TWD process, is understood to be sequential and structured. However the TWD process can also be otherwise - inferential and non-structured, helical sometimes, discontinuous sometimes and reverse-looping sometimes.
This blog is an attempt to assess how far the latter processes are realities in every day work, life and business situations. Contextually, then, it starts with a hypothesis:
Suggestions are very powerful tools in everyday life, work and business situations, that can facilitate (in fact actually result in) achievement of goals.
Each entry in the weekly blog will attempt to capture three distinct aspects that will either reinforce the hypothesis or contradict the same. The first of these aspects is a compilation of various “suggestions” that the author has encountered during the past seven days of his life, along with a brief commentary on alternate scenarios that are most likely to be played out from these suggestions. The second aspect will be a couple of references to documents and that throw more light on the power of suggestions. The last aspect is a list of suggestions (with perhaps a voting button) contributed by the author and other readers of this blog (hopefully this community will be substantial!) to tackle an issue of contemporary relevance.
It is my sincere aim to make this blog both informative and interactive and use humour and candour appropriately. Apart from helping me understand the relevance and the power of suggestions as a non-standard TWD process, I hope that this blog can soon turn out a larger community of bloggers who through their power of suggestions will be noticed and sought after by their own individual communities for innovative changes that makes life in their communities better.
Wish me luck as I embark on this initiative. I look forward to posting my next entry on Sunday 6th March 2011. In the meanwhile, if you would like to suggest anything for my next entry, email me or simply call me.
